Nam joined Cox Automotive Australia (Cox) in July 2022 as Group Finance Planning & Analysis Manager.
Cox Automotive started using Workday Adaptive Planning since October 2018, and Nam joined as they were cutting over their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) from SAP R3 to S4 Hana.
The transition was a 2–3-month process involving an integration piece to map the new Chart of Accounts, Cost Codes and GL Account Lines to Workday Adaptive Planning.
As Cox’s Workday Adaptive Planning implementation partner, GK Horizons’ Integration Specialist, Lena Stevanoska, worked with Nam to set up the implementation from the Adaptive Planning side.
Prior to the integration automation, Nam’s team would need to run manual extracts from SAP and then work on the extracts to ensure they included any new cost code or GL account lines. This process would happen 6/7 times per day for three days per month, taking around half a day per month.
Nam commented: “Lena from the GKH team was very knowledgeable, efficient and completed her piece quickly; we still have some work to do to get the SAP automation side sorted from our end. However, the GKH implementation is realising efficiency gains already.
I have not been exposed to Workday Adaptive Planning previously, and it is one of the better planning tools I have used, the way it has been set up by GKH makes it easy to use, logical, and makes complexity simple”.
